Week 28 ~ The Race

"Know you not that they that run in the race, all run indeed, but one receiveth the prize? So run that you may obtain.  And every one that striveth for the mastery, refraineth himself from all things: and they indeed that they may receive a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible one.  I therefore so run, not as at an uncertainty: I so fight, not as one beating the air: But I chastise my body, and bring it into subjection: lest perhaps, when I have preached to others, I myself should become a castaway." 1 Corinthians 9:24–27

Run the race so as to win!  Finish strong.  The end is near.  Discipline yourself spiritually, intellectually, and physically.

You gave your dog shelter, he gave you joy.  You gave him food, he gave you loyalty.  You gave him walks, he gave you companionship.  You gave him your heart (at least part of it, I would assume) He gave you unconditional love.

Pets may not be our whole life, but they make our lives whole... I'm so sorry for your loss.

I know from experience that the worst part of losing your dog is not having him there to lick your tears.

Yeah, I’ve been raising her for as long as I can remember, “Our bond is as strong as iron and will never be reduced to less.

If we have to put her down....I’m not doing it....I had to once,...to a chicken that I had raised from a chick.

Re: Week 28 ~ The Summer!

putting down a pet is so sad... but I believe God let me avoid that pain by letting him pass two days before we were going to put him down. :'( (that is not to say that I am special though.)

In reply to Eli Holt

Re: Week 28 ~ The Summer!

by Grace Olivia Weaver -

I don't know.....  Next school year, I'm taking biology, and we are going to dissect a cat.  Now cats are one of my favorite animals, but they already died.  I like doing that kind of stuff.  I've already dissected a mouse, frog, and a worm.....

In reply to Grace Olivia Weaver

Re: Week 28 ~ The Summer!

Have any of you ever dissected?

In reply to Grace Olivia Weaver

Re: Week 28 ~ The Summer!

Well it is nice to know your family counts on you for something, in my case, mowing. Besides some of my greatest ideas for my book have come from mowing the lawn and thinking.
